Avoiding Temptation!
You are less likely to fall into temptation if you don't walk along the edge.We all struggle with temptation. When we yield to it, we usually blame it on our weakness. But it's not always a matter of weakness. Sometimes it is just a matter of plain stupidity. We stupidly put ourselves in the path of temptation when we could have avoided it altogether.
Start being smart about resisting temptaion. If you know that you are having difficulty with a particular sin, then arrange the circumstances of your life so that you aren't confronted with the temptation as often. Decide ahead of time what you won't do, where you won't go, and what you won't watch. You might even have to disassociate with a few "friends" who are leading you into trouble.
The hardest time to resist temptation is when we are knee-deep in it. It's just a lot easier to stay away from it to begin with.
James 4:7
Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.
